Who can apply?
S-MM2H is open to citizens of all countries* (except Israel)
30-49 YEAR OLDS
- With children (below 18 years old) who are pursuing further education in Sarawak; or
- Undergoing long-term medical treatment in Sarawak with his/her condition verified by Private/Government Physicians who are registered with Malaysian Medical Council.
**Subject to the Law of Malaysia or rules and regulations by any governmental bodies related to this programme.
40-49 YEAR OLDS
With investment in real estate specifically for residential purpose with a total amount of at least RM600,000.00.
Financial Requirement
Financial requirement for main applicant above 30 years of age, choose 1 category only:
Before Submission (income requirements at submission are only for application purposes and not required for the future):
Show a minimum RM10,000 (couple) or RM7,000 (single) equivalent of combined average monthly income in the last 6 months (salary, pension, dividends, rental, interest, etc).
No fixed deposit requirement.
Before Submission (a bank account will be opened in person when in Sarawak) :
Place RM300,000 (couple) or RM150,000 (single) fixed deposit in a bank in Malaysia. You can withdraw 40% after 1 year (T&C apply).
No income requirement.

How to Apply
- Cover letter from the main applicant
- Resume/CV of the main applicant
- 1 set of MM2H application form for each person.
- Six(6) copies of passport-sized photographs EACH-Blue Background.
- Certified copy of all passport (all pages) for each person.
- Certified true copy of birth certificate (If accompanied by children)
- Certified true copy of marriage certificate (If accompanied by spouse)
- A copy of certified copy of latest 6 months bank statement, proof of employment and 6 months latest pay slip monthly off-shore income funds (for applicants who are 30 years old and above) [RM 10,000.00 (for couple) or RM 7,000.00 (for individual)].
- A copy of certified copy of latest 3 months government approved pension funds (for applicants who are 50 years old and above) [RM 10,000.00 (for couple) or RM 7,000.00 (for individual)].
- Fixed deposit at local bank (RM150,000.00/RM300,000.00) is compulsory upon entering Sarawak.
- Latest original criminal clearance certificate – police certificate from country of citizenship (for main applicant & spouse)
- Get medical report of each person
- Medical check-up report/RBI form
- Full blood test including HIV, Hepatitis A-E, blood glucose and cholesterol level,kidney and liver function, urine test, chest and lung X-ray for tuberculosis.
Submit your application and wait for approval. It may take 90 days from the date of submission.
Provide a copy of your passport. A copy of previous passport is also compulsory if applicant’s current passport is less than 1 year old. For both current and previous (if applicable) passport, every page is required to be copied and submitted.

- All documents above must be in English (otherwise certified translations must be provided) and sent to us as hard copies.
- All copy documents must be certified as true copies, we can certify true copies as required.
- The bank can certify bank statements with their original bank stamp.
- If any original documents are sent then no certification is required.
Regulations
Participants of S-MM2H are allowed to work, be employed, or be involved in active investment and business during the participation duration of this programme subject to the following terms and conditions whereby they must be professionals/investors and also subject to the approval from the State Government of Sarawak.
In addition, they should not participate in activities that can be considered as sensitive to the local people and a threat of security of the country.
More on S-MM2H
All participants who wish to terminate their S-MM2H programme should first submit their applications to Malaysian Immigration Department, Sarawak, then, Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak for the withdrawal of Fixed Deposit.
The following documents must be submitted to Malaysian Immigration Department, Sarawak to terminate
the programme:
- Letter of Intent from Applicant
- Original copy of Applicant’s passports
- Original & copy of one way flight ticket
Participants then need to submit the following documents to the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and
Performing Arts Sarawak for withdrawal of Fixed Deposit:
- Letter of Intent from the Applicant
- Termination Letter from the Immigration Department of Sarawak
- A copy of S-MM2H Conditional Approval Letter
- A copy of Applicant’s Front Page Passport
- A copy of the Applicant’s S-MM2H Sticker that have been terminated by the Immigration Department of Malaysia, Sarawak
- A copy of the latest Fixed Deposit Statement
All applicants whose Multiple Entry Visa(MEV) has expired on the fifth year, can extend their MEV for another five years. He/She MUST submit the following documents to Immigration Department, Sarawak for consideration:
- Letter of Intent by The Principal.
- Original & Copy of Applicant’s Passport.
- Form IMM. 55 (1 Copy).
- Form IMM. 38 (1 Copy, if Applicable) – for countries with visa requirement.
- A copy of certified Fixed Deposit statement from the bank.
- A copy of certified copy of Conditional Approval Letter
- A copy of original Medical Report (RB II Form) Report EACH (separated form for spouse)
All applications who wish to continue the programme for the 2nd 10-year, should submit to Immigration Department Sarawak their application as NEW APPLICATIONS.
All participants who wish to terminate their S-MM2H programme should first submit their applications to Malaysian Immigration Department, Sarawak, then, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Sarawak for the withdrawal of Fixed Deposit.
The following documents must be submitted to Malaysian Immigration Department, Sarawak to terminate the programme:
- Letter of Intent from applicant
- Original copy of applicants’ passports
- Original & copy of One Way Flight Ticket
All applicants should submit the following documents to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Sarawak for withdrawal of Fixed Deposit:
- Letter of Intent from applicant
- Cover letter from Immigration Department
- A copy of certified copy of Conditional Approval Letter
- Original & copy of applicants’ passports that have been terminated by Immigration Department
- A copy of certified copy of Fixed Deposit statement from any local bank in Sarawak RM180,000.00 (for couple) and RM90,000.00 (for individual).
